Cicada Wing Suncatcher

This cicada wing suncatcher was the inspiration behind starting Maera Glass. It is created with iridescent clear and green glass and creates a beautiful pastel refraction in the sunlight.

Each piece is handcrafted from beginning to end. After a pattern is created, the glass is cut, smoothed and assembled. It is then soldered together and lead came is added for stability. The piece is cleaned, polished and ready to hang. Made to order.
